An independent service that gets your locked car radio working again, quickly and without the guesswork.
What we do
When a car battery is disconnected or goes flat, most factory radios lock themselves and ask for a security code before they'll work again. That code is unique to your radio and tied to its serial number. My Radio Code recovers that code from your serial number, so you can unlock your own radio without a trip to the dealer.
We cover the factory-fitted radios across more than 50 makes, including Ford, Vauxhall, Volkswagen, Renault and Toyota, at a single flat price of £4.99 per code.
How it works
- Find your serial. Every radio shows its serial number a slightly different way. Some display it on screen, some need a button combination, and some have it printed on a label. Our brand pages walk you through the exact method for your radio.
- Check before you pay. Enter your serial and we confirm we actually hold the matching code before you're asked for a penny. No match, no charge.
- Get your code. Pay £4.99 securely, and your code appears on screen straight away and is emailed to you as a backup.
We confirm before you pay
Guessing wastes money, and entering wrong codes can permanently lock some radios. So we don't ask for payment until we've checked your serial against our database and confirmed we can help. Checking is always free.
Where the codes come from
Our codes are produced from the manufacturers' own code algorithms and reference data, the same relationship between serial number and unlock code that the radio itself uses. Every radio type we sell is verified against known-correct data before it goes live, because a wrong code helps no one.
Our promise
If a code we provide doesn't unlock your radio, we refund you in full. See our refund policy. If you lose your code, get it sent again free of charge using your serial number and the email you ordered with. Your code never changes, so it's worth keeping somewhere safe.
