This unit does not show its serial on screen. There is no button combination that reveals it, so the only way to read it is to take the radio out.
You will needA set of PC5-83 release keys (flat U-shaped pins), about £4 from Halfords or any motor factor. Do not use screwdrivers, they mark the fascia.
- 1Slide a release key into each of the two slots on each side of the radio face, four in all.
- 2Push them in while drawing the unit gently forward. It clicks twice as the clips let go, then slides straight out.
- 3Read the label on the casing. The serial starts A2C.
Take it off the radio, not off paperwork. The number in the handbook or on a dealer invoice is often for a different unit than the one actually fitted, and a wrong serial buys you a wrong code.
