Dacia serial number a letter, then 3 numbers
  1. 1Turn the radio on.
  2. 2Press and hold 1 and 6 together for about five seconds.
  3. 3The precode flashes up: one letter and three numbers, like A123.
  4. 4If the display does not change, try 2 and 6 instead. Neither works on the touchscreen navigation units.
You will needA set of extraction keys, a few pounds from any motor factor.
  1. 1Slide an extraction key into each of the slots at the sides of the radio face and draw the unit out.
  2. 2Look for the white sticker on the metal casing.
  3. 3The number you need is the last four characters of the long string, for example A583.
Take it off the radio, not off paperwork. The number in the handbook or on a dealer invoice is often for a different unit than the one actually fitted, and a wrong serial buys you a wrong code.
