- 2Slide the unit forward. It usually does not need to come all the way out.
- 3Read the large sticker on the casing. The serial sits just above or below the barcode.

Frequently asked questions
Hyundai OEM radios lock themselves when power is disconnected, typically after a battery change, a flat battery, or when the radio has been removed. Entering the correct 4-digit code unlocks it.
Use the radio's preset buttons to enter the code:
- The display will show dashes or zeros when in code entry mode
- Press preset buttons 1, 2, 3, 4 to cycle each digit position up
- When all four digits match your code, press and hold button 5 (or the OK / enter button, depending on model) to confirm
The method varies slightly by model, if in doubt, check your owner's manual.
Most car radios allow up to ten attempts, though some lock after as few as three. Always verify your serial digits are correct before entering a code.
