This unit does not show its serial on screen. The number is on the label on the casing, so the radio has to come forward far enough to read it.

- 1Ease off the trim in front of the radio.
- 2Slide the unit forward. It usually does not need to come all the way out.
- 3Read the large sticker on the casing. The serial sits just above or below the barcode.

Kia OEM radios lock themselves when power is disconnected, typically after a battery change, a flat battery, or when the radio has been removed. Entering the correct 4-digit code unlocks it.
Use the radio's preset buttons to enter the code:
- The display will show dashes or zeros when in code entry mode
- Press preset buttons 1, 2, 3, 4 to cycle each digit position
- When all four digits match your code, press and hold button 5 (or the confirm button, depending on model)
The method varies slightly by model, if in doubt, check your owner's manual.
