2Push them in while drawing the unit gently forward. It clicks twice as the clips let go, then slides straight out.
3Read the label on the casing. The serial starts A2C.

Usually yes. The serial is on the physical label and is not shown on the locked display. You typically need to slide the radio unit out slightly to read the label on the casing.
