What serial format does my MINI radio use?

MINI R50/R52/R53 models (2001–2006) fitted with Blaupunkt OEM audio have a serial starting with BP followed by a model code and 7 digits, for example BP1234567. The full serial is printed on a sticker on the radio unit.
