My Volvo has an HU-series radio. Does that work?

HU-series radios (HU-601, HU-803, etc.) are Philips-manufactured and use a different locking system, they are not covered by this service. Only Volvo radios with a BP-prefix serial (Blaupunkt SC series) are supported here.

Where is the serial on a Volvo SC radio?

The BP serial is on a sticker on the radio unit itself. You'll need to remove the radio from the dashboard to read it. Most Volvo radios can be removed by releasing the retaining tabs on each side of the unit.
