Serial starts with V or M
- 1Turn the ignition on. Do not start the engine.
- 2Press and hold 1 and 6 together for about two seconds.
- 3The serial appears on the display: a letter then six numbers, like V062049.
- 4If nothing appears after two tries, hold 2 and 6 instead. That form starts with M.

- 1Push a release key into each of the four corner holes in the fascia.
- 2Apply gentle outward pressure and the unit slides forward. No wires need disconnecting.
- 3The serial is on the sticker on the back or side of the unit. Enter it exactly as printed, including the prefix letter.
Take it off the radio, not off paperwork. The number in the handbook or on a dealer invoice is often for a different unit than the one actually fitted, and a wrong serial buys you a wrong code.
