Which Smart radio do you support?

We support the Becker units Smart shares with Mercedes-Benz: the BE6040 Navigation & Sound and the Audio 30 APS range (BE4705, BE4708, BE4710, BE4715, BE4716). If your unit shows a different model number, contact us before ordering and we will check it for you.

Where do I find the serial number?

The serial number is on a label on the side or top of the radio unit, visible once the radio is removed. On the Smart ForTwo the radio unclips from the centre console panel; on the Roadster use DIN extraction tools.

My Smart radio is an older Grundig, not a Becker. Can you help?

The earliest Smart ForTwo 450 used a Grundig unit whose code cannot be recovered from the serial number, it requires reading the memory chip. This lookup covers the Becker BE6040. If you are unsure which you have, contact us with a photo of the label.
