What type of serial does VW use?

VW radios use a full serial number printed on a label attached to the radio unit. It does not display on the screen when locked.

Where is the VW serial located?

The serial is on a label on the side or back of the radio unit. You will need to remove the radio from the dashboard to see the label. Most VW radios can be pulled out by inserting the removal keys into the slots on either side of the unit.
